With seven wins at Paris-Roubaix, our Roubaix has proven that Smoother is Faster. Until this moment, however, smooth has admittedly come with some compromises. But not anymore. The all-new Roubaix now delivers compliance without compromise by introducing a radical new Future Shock 1.5 that gives you more control on rough roads, a new Pave seatpost that creates our most balanced Roubaix to date, aerodynamics that equal the Tarmac, and a Rider-First Engineered frame that's shed some serious weight. Is it still comfortable? Sure, but don't call it a comfort bike, because performance was behind every engineering decision we made. This is the new Roubaix. This Roubaix provides a tremendous value, but like the frame itself, this value doesn't come with any compromises. We spec'd it with Shimano's Tiagra 10-speed group for its crisp shifts and powerful hydraulic disc brakes, as well as reliable Axis Elite Disc wheels, a Praxis Alba crankset, the all-new S-Works Pave seatpost, 32mm RoadSport tires, and our fan-favorite Power Sport saddle. - The new frame delivers compliance without compromise via the perfect balance of aerodynamics, light overall weight via a FACT 10r carbon construction, compliance, and Rider-First Engineering. With tube shapes that were born in our FreeFoil Shape Library and validated in the Win Tunnel, the new Roubaix is more aero than the Tarmac SL6. Meanwhile, to ensure the weight and ride quality, we turned to a Rider-First Engineered design to deliver optimal stiffness and compliance across all sizes, from 44 to 64cm. Of course, the frame has shed some serious weight in the process. And to prep you for your own Hell of the North, we've made room for 33mm tires. - To go along with the new frame, we've also developed a totally-new S-Works Pave seatpost. Not only is it the first compliant seatpost that's also aerodynamic, it does so without any additional weight or finicky contraptions. Starting with the same D-shape design found on the Tarmac, we took its compliance a step further by building additional flex into the upper and developing a new drop-clamp design in the frame. This provides plenty of compliance, while staying perfectly balanced with the front-end, so you get a smooth, balanced ride no matter how rough the road. - With 20mm of rough-road-taming travel, the Future Shock 1.5 not only delivers a smoother, more comfortable ride, but it also reduces fatigue and increases speed over harsh terrain. The new Smooth Boot, meanwhile, enhances the aesthetics to bring a clean transition from the head tube to the stem

With seven wins at Paris-Roubaix, our Roubaix has proven that Smoother is Faster. Until this moment, however, smooth has admittedly come with some compromises. But not anymore. The all-new Roubaix Expert now delivers compliance without compromise by introducing a radical new Future Shock 2.0 that gives you more control and damping options, a new Pave seatpost that creates our most balanced Roubaix to date, aerodynamics that equal the Tarmac, and a Rider-First Engineered frame that's shed some serious weight. Is it still comfortable? Sure, but don't call it a comfort bike, because performance was behind every engineering decision we made. This is the new Roubaix. It's smoother, faster, and gives you more control via a knob atop the stem. This knob adjusts compression from fully open to stiff, while hydraulically-damped internals control rebound. Add it up, and this latest version will reduce fatigue and increase your speed, no matter the terrain. The new Smooth Boot, top cap, and Future Stem also enhance the aesthetic, so you get a clean transition from head tube to stem. - The new frame delivers compliance without compromise via the perfect balance of aerodynamics, light overall weight via a FACT 10r carbon construction, compliance, and Rider-First Engineering. Nothing is faster than the Tarmac SL8 thanks to a combination of aerodynamics, light weight, and ride quality previously thought impossible. After eight generations and over two decades of development, it's more than the fastest Tarmac ever—it's the world's fastest race bike. Your legs up for it? AERO IN EVERYTHING We're putting aero where it matters—the leading edge—not just where it looks good. In the process we've created our most aerodynamic road bike ever. Yes, it's more aero than the Venge. Clean air is optimized for maximum advantage with the Tarmac's new nose cone—the Speed Sniffer. By moving the steer tube back—the tube that determines head tube width—the leading edge of the head tube can be much sharper, delivering a much lower drag shape. Utilizing new UCI rules, the Tarmac SL8 has the narrowest, most aero seat post we've ever made ensuring fast-moving, dirty air around the legs can flow back more cleanly. Doesn't victory smell sweet? GOES LIKE HELL, RIDES LIKE HEAVEN With massive gains in stiffness-to-weight—an improvement of 33% over the SL7—the Tarmac SL8 takes legendary handling, aggressive responsiveness, and World Championship proven geometry to the next level. The bike is stiffer at the pedals, more precise at the bars, and combines it with a compliant ride in the saddle that sets a new benchmark for race bike comfort. Thanks to our Rider-First Engineering, every rider, regardless of size, gets the same unprecedented ride quality and handling. In the saddle the Tarmac SL8 delivers 6% more compliance, floating over rough road with a supple feel unique in the high-strung world of race bikes. Tarmac's proven geometry and 32mm tire clearance are identical to the SL7, ensuring easy adaptation and the versatility to run higher volume tires when needed. BEYOND GENDER There can be more differences between two male cyclists than between a male and female. Gender alone doesn't provide nearly enough data to specialize and that means creating male or female bikes is arbitrary and outdated. Every rider can get the next-level advantage of Tarmac SL8. It's time to go Beyond Gender. S-Works Tarmac SL8 is spec'd with only the best components. A full Shimano Dura-Ace 9200 series Di2 groupset with a dual-sided power meter, and a Roval Rapide CLX II tubeless-ready wheelset is the perfect complement to the world's fastest frame. All S-Works Tarmac SL8 models ship with a Roval Rapide cockpit to save weight and for the fastest possible leading edge.

For the construction of the Tarmac, we utilized advanced aerospace composite optimization software to revolutionize the construction and layup of our new FACT 9r carbon. 500 pieces creating 7 different sizes with the same tuned ride–that’s Rider-First Engineered. We examine every ply of carbon on every frame size to ensure that all of our performance targets come through. To make sure you get the perfect ride, every frame gets a unique layup schedule with different ply arrangements, orientations, quantities of material in specific areas, and sometimes, even exclusive thicknesses and types of carbon itself. Aerodynamics is the most important thing we can do to make you faster, but with the Tarmac, we added aero features without any cost to weight. Through development, areas were discovered where we could add aero for free—a new fork shape and dropped seatstays with aero tubes. The result? A Tarmac that’s approximately 30 seconds faster over 40 kilometers. The updated the geometry is based on countless Retül data points and professional rider input. This enabled us to develop a Performance Road Geometry that perfects the combination of a responsive front-end and short wheelbase, which delivers instantaneous response and optimal power transfer.

The new Tarmac is designed to go fast—no ifs, ands, or buts about that. But, it represents so much more than just aerodynamic prowess. With a lightweight, Rider-First Engineered frame, it delivers the best-possible ride characteristics, no matter the size. So, no matter what you have planned for your new Tarmac, it's ready to help you achieve your goals: whether they're PRs, KOMs, or podium top-steps. One bike to rule them all. With the new SRAM Rival eTap AXS 12-speed group to bring wireless shifting to the masses, along with some fast-rolling tires in the Turbo Pro 700x26mm tires, this new Tarmac delivers performance at a more palatable price point. Aero is everything. We've been preaching it for years, and it's still the driving force for the new Tarmac. In our quest for tube shapes that deliver the fastest frame that the UCI rules allow, we took a page out of the Venge development book and utilized our FreeFoil Shape Library. Armed with a library of optimized shapes, we turned to the Win Tunnel to plug these shapes into a modular test bike for more testing and validation. The result? A new Tarmac Comp that's faster than before. In fact, it's 33 seconds faster over 40km than the Tarmac SL6. No compromises, just pure speed. - Building on the learnings from the Venge, the new Tarmac utilizes simple integration to create a clean, fast cockpit that's easy to live with. We've improved the routing for any configuration, mechanical shifting, traditional stems, round bars, etc., all while keeping its aerodynamic attributes. These same traits also make the new Tarmac easy to work on and easy to travel with. It's a win-win. - Continuing our quest to develop the perfect race bike, we used our Rider-First Engineered philosophy to ensure that the new Tarmac is the most balanced, best handling Tarmac yet, no matter the size. With an army of the world's best test riders from our three World Tour Teams, Boels-Dolmans, Deceuninck-Quick-Step, and Bora-Hansgrohe, we made changes to the Tarmac based on their thousands of kilometers on the road. We balanced the ride quality between the front and rear end, so even the longest days in the saddle continue to be comfortable, all without giving up anything to the Tarmac's legendary handling and race-winning snappiness. - While aerodynamics were paramount to the Tarmac's development and to the development of all of our race bikes, weight was the co-pilot on this optimal race bike journey. Previously aero bikes always compromised in the weight department—the more drag you reduced, the more weight you gained. With the new Tarmac, our design philosophy was to keep it at, or below, the UCI weight limit out of the box, with no sacrifices to aerodynamics. And, with the help of the FreeFoil Shape Library, tools like isotopic FEA analysis, and some engineering wizardry by the best engineers in the industry, we delivered a frame that weighs a mere 920 grams, without giving up a gram of aero, stiffness, or ride quality.

A BIKE FOR THE WAY RIDERS RIDE Caledonia doesn't fit in a box nicely, and we like it that way. It was conceived on our Thursday night rides-routes that often play fast and loose with 'road ride.' As we tried to stuff bigger tires into our R5s and streamline our Asperos, a new kind of bike was born. When we design a bike, we start with our library of tube shapes. These shapes are tubes we've used on other models that we know to have various qualities-aerodynamic, stiff, ultralight, etc.-and they help get us to the refinement stage on a bike more quickly. In the case of Caledonia, we wanted durability, lightweight, and aerodynamics to be in balance and selected a package that achieved the performance demands of this kind of race bike. Caledonia uses a standard round bar, stem, and seat post, giving riders the option to build their ultimate ride without compromise. Integrated accessory mounts and hidden fender mounts keep the bike's refined lines so you can ride with lights and computers in a downpour and still look fast. Because we all know if it looks fast, it probably is. Rather than designing multiple versions of the bike with various fit profiles (R5, R-Series, etc.) like we've done in the past, we designed a system that enables a broad range of fits on a single bike while maintaining the aesthetic and functional cleanliness we demand. Modern road riders are looking for bikes to handle long-distance, high pace, no limits, and offer maximum fun. By placing lower modulus carbon in key areas to mitigate the brittleness of hi-mod fiber-the Caledonia delivers performance, comfort, and speed. Oh, and you can fit a 34mm tire in there. Or 31mm with fenders.
